ABSTRACT

Background. On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization announced the status of a global pandemic for the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Pregnant women are most vulnerable to being infected with COVID-19 and must take extra care of their health. The impact and risk of COVID-19 on pregnant and lactating women as well as on the fetus and baby are not yet known with certainty. However, due to changes in body shape and immune system, pregnant women are very susceptible to some res-piratory infections. Objective. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the quality of antenatal care (ANC) services in Probolinggo Regency. Methods. This analytic research has a cross-sectional design. The participants are 326 pregnant women in the third trimester. Sampling uses simple random sampling. The sample is some pregnant women in the third trimester, as many as 179 people. Chi- square is used for analysis. Results. According to the study's findings, as many as 170 respondents did not confirm that they had COVID-19 (95%). 153 respondents were provided with quality ANC services (85%). Conclusion. The results of the statistical test obtained a value of P=0.09;so there is an influence during the COVID-19 pandemic on the quality of ANC services. Efforts that can be made are health workers limit meetings with pregnant women without reducing the quality of ANC services.Copyright © the Author(s), 2023.

ABSTRACT

This study investigates the antecedents of the intention to switch to e-grocery shopping during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is critical in recommending that e-grocery shopping service providers improve their competitiveness by responding to customer expectations. This study proposes a push–pull–mooring framework to describe the influence of dissatisfaction on the physical market, the attractiveness of e-grocery, and switching costs as factors that drive switching intentions. This study surveyed 252 Indonesians aware of the existence of an e-grocery mobile application, and applied structural equation modeling as an analytical method to explain causal relationships between variables thought to influence switching intentions to e-grocery shopping. The results showed that the attractiveness of e-grocery had a significant effect on switching intention. Likewise, switching costs ultimately drive customer intention to switch to e-grocery shopping. However, dissatisfaction is not a driving factor directly affecting switching costs and intentions. Finally, e-grocery services cannot replace the local tradition of Indonesian people who prefer to shop for groceries in physical markets. Nevertheless, these findings provide theoretical and practical contributions to retail grocery businesses that have integrated conventional and digital services as a future strategy that drives business sustainability. © 2023 by the authors.

ABSTRACT

Online learning in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic forces students to adapt to new ways of learning. This situation has an impact on students' mastery of concepts, especially in learning physics. This study aims to identify student difficulties with the mechanical wave characteristics concept in online learning in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. This case study used semi-structured interviews consisted of 8 mechanical wave characteristics concept understanding open-ended questions adapted from MWCS. The interviews were conducted with five eleventh grade high school students to identify their difficulties with the wave characteristics concept. A female student from a private high school, two female students, and two male students from two public high schools in two different regions. Data analysis was conduct by making transcripts, coding the transcripts, and drawing ideas from the codes. This study found that students had difficulty determining the role of frequency and amplitude in everyday sound phenomena. In addition, the participants did not realize that sound waves are longitudinal. In the context of wave velocity, students tend towards mathematical formulas oriented. © 2022 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.

ABSTRACT

During the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been an increase in people using their yards in urban areas. This study aims to describe the motivation of farmer group members in using urban yards during the Covid-19 pandemic and analyze their motivation factors. The research was conducted in Yogyakarta City by determining a sample of 45 farmer group members using multistage random sampling. Descriptive analysis was applied to describe the motivation of farmer group members in using urban yards during the Covid-19 pandemic. Analysis of the Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient was implemented to analyze their motivation factors. This study unveiled that the motivation of farmer group members in utilizing urban yards seen from the motivation of existence, relatedness, and growth belonged to the high category. The results of the Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient analysis revealed that motivation factors of the farmer group members comprised age and the role of the group leader, extension workers, and information technology. © The Authors.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: The presence of a coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine is very important to produce an immune response that slows down the pandemic. AIM: This study aims to find out more about the perspective of the Indonesian people which is predicted to affect vaccine acceptance by the public. METHODS: Quantitative research was conducted using an online survey via a Google form. The survey was conducted from January to February 2021. RESULTS: There were 225 respondents. The attitude of the community towards the COVID-19 vaccination program, almost all respondents know the free vaccination program (94.4%) and know the purpose of the program (91.8%). There were 23% of respondents who felt that after being vaccinated they would be free from COVID-19 infection and 2.4% stated that they no longer needed to apply health protocols after being vaccinated. There were 8.2% who did not agree with the reasons they did not know its effectiveness, were worried about the side effects and were unsure about the safety of the COVID-19 vaccine. CONCLUSION: In general, self-confidence, comfort, calculation of benefits versus disadvantages, and shared responsibility, influence a person’s decision to refuse or accept the vaccine.

ABSTRACT

The outbreak of the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in Wuhan, China has become expanded globally, the current novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) or also called COVID-19 pandemic is unprecedented, but the global response draws on the lessons learned from other disease outbreaks over the past several decades. WHO (World Health Organisation) said that Person-to-person transmission may occur through droplet or contact transmission and according to early estimates by China’s National Commission (NHC) people with high risk for severe disease and death people is an old age and people with pre-existing health conditios (comorbid) as hyertention, diabetes, cardiovasculer disease, chronic respiratory diseas (asthma, lung etc), heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, immunodeficiency, cancer and other. The fatality cases about 80% were over the age of 60 and 75% of them had pre-existing health conditios (comorbid). The government prevent further spread of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) disease with advice for public on how to keep healthy. In this article we consider a predict recovery risk rate of COVID-19 using fuzzy tsukamoto inference system, representation linguistic variable using linear membership function up and down, use two input, age and comorbid with “IF-THEN” rules, fuzzy logic conjunction connectives. The defuzzification or output mortality rate using centroid triangular fuzzy number.

ABSTRACT

The New Coronavirus 2019 pandemic (COVID-19) is the world’s health crisis. Various aspects of the virus are still unknown. As the COVID-19 virus became more prevalent, the Government of Indonesia issued several types of policies, including in the education sector, by closing schools as an emergency measure to prevent the spread of infection. But when the start of the new school year, it makes parents who have school-age children start to worry, if it will start during this pandemic. The study aimed to find a picture of the impact of the Ministry of Education’s policy discourse on the start of a new school year for school-aged children. The study design was conducted with a descriptive analysis approach which was carried out through a literature review. The results of the study found that although children tend to have mild symptoms of COVID-19, it did not mean we should ignore those who have this disease. We still need to take steps to prevent them from becoming infected. Policies for reopening schools must be carefully considered. Among them were waiting for conditions to be safe from the impact of COVID-19 following the decisions of the COVID-19 Task Force and the Ministry of Health, as well as the local government as the person in charge of basic education.

ABSTRACT

A healthy lifestyle is one of the determinants of the development of COVID-19. The purpose of the study was to analyze the predictors of a healthy lifestyle in the COVID-19 pandemic period. Data collected online. The sample size was 3,407 respondents. The variables analyzed included a healthy lifestyle (wear a mask when leaving the house, wash hands with soap, and implement physical distancing), age, education, and work type. In the final stage the binary logistic regression was used to determine the predictor. The results found that respondents with the age group 31-40 were 2.792 times more likely than respondents with the age group ≤20 to behave often wearing a mask when leaving the house. Respondents with a work type entrepreneurship category are 0.479 times more likely than respondents with a public servant/army/police work type category to behave often wearing a mask when leaving the house. The older the respondent, the more likely it is to behave frequently to wash hands with soap. Respondents with a work type entrepreneurship category have a lower possibility than the public servant/army/police category to behave frequently washing hands with soap. The analysis showed that none of the prospective predictors of behavioral variables often implementing physical distancing showed significant results. It was concluded that age groups and work types are predictors of two healthy lifestyles (wear a mask when leaving the house and wash hands with soap). While none of the variables tested proved to be a predictor of implementing physical distancing behavior. © 2020 Innovare Academics Sciences Pvt. Ltd. All rights reserved.
